<p>The new logo, designed by Limerick based Avid Graphic Design, has been created to incorporate the energy of the River Shannon, its notable bridges and the <strong>13th century King John’s Castle</strong>, all of which are iconic images of Limerick city. The brushstroke has a dual purpose, to capitalise the ‘L’ of the city and boast of the creativity and artistry that permeates Limerick. The magenta tones refer to the city’s ceremonial links to the first Duke of Magenta and the Flight of the Wild Geese.<span id="more-7464"></span></p>
